Latin American Literature and Cultures Minor

Students enrolled in any degree program may pursue a minor designation in Latin American Literature and Cultures. Students will closely examine the literature and cultures of Latin America from pre-Columbian times to the present. The analysis of individual works will be grounded in a deep understanding of their historicity. Students will become acquainted with the major trends in literary and cultural criticism, while developing strong research skills at the same time.

The Latin American Literature and Cultures Minor requires successful completion of a minimum of four academic course units (eight courses) with a minimum cumulative average of 65%, including:
